Halloween
Last year we took Mary and Ben Trick or Treating around our village. It was lovely, lots of fall leaves on the ground, a big moon, clear, crisp night, but most of all...it was lame. There were hardly any houses that we could go to. Some houses were even decorated, but no one answered the door (there's a special place in hell for people who do that). Ben and Mary have never actually celebrated Halloween in America, so they had no idea what they were missing. They were happy because, Hey! Free Candy! But Jay and I know differently....
After hearing memoan and complain mention how sad our Halloween was, a friend invited us to their house and to go trick or treating in their little village. She lived in America for quite a while, so she enjoys going all Americany Halloweenish (I just made those words up. Surprised? I am a wordsmith!) and she said a lot of the people in the village do as well. We jumped at the chance. And I'm so glad we did. We had a fabulous time!

I'm so glad you are blogging again. You make me laugh so hard!! Remember the time you dressed as a pretzel... but you decided it look more like dog poop. So funny!
